A new introduction to spatial dispersion: Reimagining the basic concepts

چکیده
I describe three ways that the spatial properties of a wave propagation medium can cause dispersion, and propose they should form basics for correctly understanding naming phenomena described as "spatial dispersion". In particular, emphasise specific which generate resulting dispersive -- i.e. spatially behaviour. The mechanisms are geometry, structure, dynamics.
